Welcome to ISNT Thiruvananthapuram Chapter
The Thiruvananthapuram chapter of ISNT was started as Trivandrum Section of Nondestructive Testing Society of India (NDTSI) on September 21, 1978, by the efforts of a small group of scientists and engineers of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre. Trivandrum Section of NDTSI was actively involved in the development of NDT technology.
In the early nineties, the two leading professional bodies in the area of nondestructive testing namely NDTSI and Indian Institute of Nondestructive Inspection Engineering IINDIE, merged together to form a single professional body named ISNT and this Section has transformed into the present Thiruvananthapuram Chapter of ISNT.
Refresher Courses
The chapter conducts a refresher course on NDT every year. The course primarily intended for NDT technicians and engineers to brush up their basics. It is also tailored to introduce the fundamentals and emerging techniques in NDT to the student community. The course attracts participants from various government and private organizations

The Chapter had conducted NDE 2016 at AL Saj Convention Centre, Thiruvananthapuram from Dec 15-17, 2016. As a prelude to the conference, the chapter had also conducted a pre-conference tutorial at VSSC from Dec 13-14, 2016.

The Chapter conducts Technical Lectures under Young Engineers Forum on a regular basis. Young Engineers in NDE and related areas are encouraged to share their knowledge to the ISNT community through this forum. The Chapter has conducted online lectures during the pandemic period as well.
